tie-ing the knot

over the weekend my main man and i went to the berkshires, and unexpectedly he popped the question!

i said yEs!!...

to celebrate, yesterday i bought him a couple of bowties from J.Press (graciously modeled here for you by the implacable Nefertiti). He doesn't wear bowties yet and neither of us knows how to tie them but i have some instructions and...

i hope we'll learn together.

.

sorry for the break in posting! it's been busy... but now i'm back!

Congratulations P and U! Oh how exciting. And if you're looking for more dapper bowties (my guy is a bow-tie wearing fellow) visit Ben Silver.

Congratulations! Fantastic news - my best to the both of you...

As far as bow tie tying goes, I think he's going to need a demonstration from someone who's tied them before - instructions are impossible to follow! Someone at Brooks Bros. or the like can show him.

In truth, it's not that different from tying a regular tie. And if it's for his long walk down the aisle, I'm sure one of his men friends can help him out if he hasn't learned how beforehand.

Oh my gosh. congratulations!

That is so so thrilling. I'm hoping we'll get to see some wedding related blogging leading up to the big event (a la Joy.)

It couldn't have happened to a nicer girl.
